This policy describes how the WA Broadcast Lists Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles information. The Extension helps users create broadcast lists from their WhatsApp Web contacts and groups and pre-select recipients in WhatsApp Web's "Send to" dialog. It is developed by Michael Lev ("mishmish", levmishmish14@gmail.com).

1. Data the Extension handles

• Contact, group and chat names — read from WhatsApp Web only when the user clicks "Scan".
• Broadcast lists — list names and the recipients the user selected.
• Message text — the message the user writes.
• Send status — which recipients already received the message.
• Images and videos — files the user chose to attach. They are kept in memory only while the panel is open, passed to WhatsApp Web in the user's browser to attach them to the chat, and are not stored anywhere.

2. Where data is stored

All data is stored only in the user's browser using chrome.storage.local. The Extension does not send any data to any server (it has no server) and does not sync data between devices. A backup file is created only when the user clicks "Export", and it is saved on the user's computer.

3. Sending messages

The Extension never sends messages on its own. It only ticks recipients in WhatsApp Web's "Send to" dialog; the user clicks WhatsApp's send button. Messages are sent by WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own policies.

4. Permissions

• Access to web.whatsapp.com — to add a button to WhatsApp's menu, read contact and group names during a scan, tick recipients in the send dialog, and attach images or videos to a chat and forward that message to the next recipients when the user chose to. The Extension does not run on any other site.
• sidePanel — the Extension's interface is shown in a side panel next to WhatsApp Web.
• storage — to save lists and messages in the user's browser.

5. Data sharing and third parties

We do not collect, sell, rent or share any data with third parties. The Extension does not use analytics, tracking or advertising services.

6. Deleting data

Lists can be deleted inside the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes all data it stored.

7. Children's privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL.
